My parents are birders. They participate in the Cornell Lab bird count, and just this last holiday season with them, I was watching them watch their birdfeeder while they counted 9 mourning doves, 6 house finches, 4 pine siskins among the 25 goldfinches, etc. I am NOT a professional. So I'm guessing that the little bird perched on Lucy Dierks' divided bowl might be a ruby crowned kinglet. See the red on its head? Hey, at least I've HEARD of a ruby crowned kinglet! Anyway, it's one sweet bird on one sweet bowl.
