Persian Bowl with Rose Leaves in Red
Large bowl with intricate churchkey pattern leading to a cameo of rose leaves glazed in red. I use the pointy end of a can/bottle opener to press each point, one at a time, into the almost-leather-hard clay to make the pattern, using no templates or guides. The pattern isn't machine-perfect, which is what makes it so pleasing to look at, much like the intricacies of a Persian carpet. 13" diameter by 4.5" deep. $450.
