This exquisite table lamp features a wheel thrown stoneware base impressed with oak ivy leaves and vines accented with red clay "berries." The amber celadon glaze burned out nicely in the leaves, making them a pleasing toasty brown that picks up the color of the iron-oxide wash over the churchkey pattern at the base and shoulder of the lamp, and the darker color of the dried maidenhair fern in the mica lampshade. The octagonal mica lampshade is made by Sue Johnson out of Berkeley, California for Suzanne Crane, with piping made to match Suzanne's lamp bases. This lamp pairs well with the #2 lamp shown next. 22.25" to top of finial, 20" wide from point to point of shade. Base is 11" high and 7.5" wide. $1200.
